I infer that in this photograph Bartholomew Roberts was exemplifying his power over other by sharing a chalice with death.
I also infer that Bartholomew Roberts beleived to be the deliverer of death and with death, to grant him his power.
I also infer that by the terror that this flag struck in others hearts, it must have represented his coming and his delivering of his great power.
Prior Knowledge: I do know that the bearer of this flag is the notorious pirate known as Bartholomew Roberts. Along with that, I also beleive that the first inference I made is true, and that he really did beleive that he was the bringer of death, itself!
